My best holiday ever
In the last blog I talked very shortly about the time when I visit Rapa Nui and why I fell in love with the place. Now I can try to complete the story.
I went to Rapa Nui five years ago in the summer of 2018, it was my last year of school and all my classmates were going to Brazil for the typical school tour of the last years of school. I did not wanted to go there and also I did not had the enough money for that trip, so I dicided that I was not going. Know I understand that I did not wanted to go for more important reasons that the ones that I just said, the reality was that I did not like to much the classmates that I had on those days. Finally I had a conversation with my mum and the both of us decided that instead of going to a school tour, we could go to a family tour to the place that we were planning to go for the last couple of years, Rapa Nui. So we bought the plane tickets and made the hotel reservation. The fun fact was that in the last minute my boyfriend (that was also part of my class) realized that he did not wanted to go to the school tour neither. So I went with my mum, my sister and my boyfriend. It was fascinating from the moment that we arrived to the moment that we left.
We were going to stayed for ten days only, so we paid for a turist tour that had a really strict itinerary and because of that we woke up every day at 6 am, but it was worth it.
We tour all the volcanoes on the island, but the best one was the Terevaka, because it was the highest; the thing that I had more present in my mind of that day was that when we started to climb, suddenly it started to rain for around ten minutes (the weather was warm), then it stopped raining and the sun came out inmediately, so everything that we had gotten wet dried up, it was awesome.
Another place that we visited was the most famous beach of Rapa Nui, is called Anakena beach; the sand is super clear and the water is turquoise, you could even see the fish swimming next to you. We also visit another beach that was closer to where we were staying, that was like a pool (it was a closed beach) were we could swim with turtles.
Every day of our stay on the island we visited different Moais, we even met the only Moai with passaport that has passed through many museums in the world.
And in the last day of our trip, we decided to take a guided diving class to close our family tour in the best way posible. It was the best and the worst experience that I ever had.

ResponderEliminarWow it's a beautiful story, it's good that your mom supported you to take a trip to another place. I would like to go on vacation to Rapa Nui with my family sometime. And how magical to swim with turtles, it sounds like a dream!
