My dream job
If I remember well, I didn't have any especific dream job as a child, because I change it every year. But some of the jobs I mention as a child were: massage therapyst, because I liked to give my mom massages; a painter (I love paint and make things with my hands since I was little) and a medical examiner. When I was younger, I used to watch a lot of crime series, like Criminal Minds or CSI, and that's why I wanted to be a medical examiner like the ones who appear there.
I am studying Theory and History of art at this moment, but it wasn't my first choice when I wanted to enter at the university. When I was applying to the Universidad de Chile I had only one option, which was Theatrical Design. I decided to study that major at first because I always love the theatre and arts in general. Finally I enter and study that career for two years and a half and I like it very much, until the pandemia comes and we had to stay in cuarentine with online classes. The first year was semi normal and I had a good time at the university presencialy. But in spite of that, I decided to transfer to a more theorical and less practical career because of the pandemia and the online classes like I said, they were affecting my mental health and making me hate the career I love once. However, in my free time I still do things related with my first career, like doing fun makeups, making plaster cast masks and polymer clay figures when I know I am going to have a lot of time to spend on it, like in my holidays or weekends.
I would like to work at museums some day, I am not sure where yet, but I dream to visit and work at museums around the world, especially visit de Mexico ones. I do not think to much about the salary or that kind of things for now, because I do not study arts to get rich or something like that and also I think that hard work always would be rewarded.
And to finish this third blog, since we were talking about jobs, I can tell you for now, that temporarily some days of the week I work at night in a bar near my house as a waiter and bartender, where, in spite of my lack of sleep, I have a lot of fun with my co-workers.

Wow, I watched crime series too, CSI was my obsession when I was little. It's good that you did what's best for your mental health and the mask you showed is really cool!
ResponderEliminarI think is really cool that you still do the things you like from your past carrer, it's really beautiful and I hope that someday you can work at a museum!!
